Investigation into Shooting at 4200 Rand
December 19, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man that occurred in the 4200 block of Rand about 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday (December 18).
The victim, Edwin Boutte, 29, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers D. Polite and W. Elliott reported:
Mr. Boutte was walking westbound on Rand when he was approached by an unknown charcoal gray Chrysler sedan and the driver (suspect) called out Boutte’s name. The suspect, described only as a black male with a full beard and wearing a baseball cap, then began firing a pistol at Boutte, striking him multiple times. Boutte was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
