Investigation into Shooting Incident at 5600 Bissonnet Street
December 09, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man that occurred at 5600 Bissonnet Street about 4 p.m. last Friday (December 6).
The victim, Leobardo Romero, 48, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective Z. Brumley reported:
Mr. Romero was walking on the sidewalk outside a business at the above address when he was approached by an unknown Hispanic male suspect wearing a hooded coat. At gunpoint, the suspect demanded Romero's wallet and phone and the two then began struggling. During the struggle, Romero was shot in the hand. The suspect ran to a waiting black vehicle, got into the passenger seat, and fled the scene.
