Investigation into Person Found Deceased at 9803 Club Creek Drive
April 19, 2019 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a person found at 9803 Club Creek Drive #131 about 11:30 p.m. on Thursday (April 18).
The identity, gender and cause of death of the victim are pending an autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Daignault and Detectives M. Perez and A Barr reported:
A witness working in the apartment at the above address detected an odor gradually getting worse as he was in the apartment. While checking a room that appeared to have the strongest odor, a possible body that was wrapped up was found under the bed. Due to the body's decomposition, investigators cannot confirm the identity of the individual.
On March 1, patrol officers were dispatched to the same apartment regarding a man (Carlos Rios, 24) reported missing from the location. Homicide detectives were assigned to conduct an investigation due to signs of foul play observed inside and outside of the apartment at that time.
Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
