UPDATE: Suspect Arrested, Charged in Infant's Death at 802 Seminar
September 28, 2018 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the death of an infant at 802 Seminar about 12:50 p.m. on November 2, 2017.
Sylvia Ann Taylor (b/f, 50) is charged with felony injury to a child with serious bodily injury in the 339th State District Court. A photo of Taylor is attached to this news release.
Taylor is accused of causing a head injury to the 6 month-old child she was babysitting, Kyrie Trishell.
HPD Homicide Division Officers H. Hay and A. Vinogradov reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a call for assistance from Houston Fire Department personnel and found a female infant lying unresponsive in an apartment at the above address. There were no obvious signs of injury. She was transported to Houston Northwest Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased.
In a subsequent interview with Taylor, she admitted to causing a head injury to the child on the day of the incident. Taylor was charged on September 13, 2018 and was arrested on Wednesday (Sept. 26).
