September 17, 2018 - Charges have been filed against two suspects arrested in the shooting of a man at 6626 Reed Road about 11:50 p.m. on Sunday (Sept. 16).

Suspect Miklos Jermaine Hawthorne (b/m, 20) is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and tampering with evidence in the 228th State District Court.  Suspect Quinton Deandre Hunt (b/m, 21) is charged with tampering with evidence in the 228th State District Court.  Booking photos of both suspects are attached to this news release.

The victim, Darian Vincent, 22, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers J. Roberts and A. Ferrell reported:

During an argument between friends over money, suspect Hawthorne drew a pistol and shot Mr. Vincent one time in the abdomen.  He and suspect Hunt then fled the scene. 

Further investigation led to the identification of both suspects in this case and they were subsequently charged in connection with the shooting and lying about the location of the weapon used.
