Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 2200 South Loop West
October 22, 2018 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 2200 South Loop West (South Interstate Highway 610 West) around 12:45 a.m. on Saturday (October 20).
The victim, Jermaine Deshane West, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Duncan and Officer T. Jackson reported:
Mr. West was driving his vehicle westbound on the South Loop West near Kirby when an unknown suspect fired shots at him from inside an unknown vehicle. West was struck and his vehicle came to a stop. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced West deceased.
At this time, there is no known motive nor suspect(s).
