Investigation into Fatal Crash at 7101 Ley Road
October 17, 2018 - A man injured in an auto/pedestrian crash that occurred at 7101 Ley Road about 6:25 p.m. on April 16. has died from his injuries.
The male victim, 32, was treated at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where, on Tuesday (Oct. 16), doctors pronounced him deceased. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Officer O. Sulaiman reported:
The driver of a white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was traveling westbound at the above address when, according to the driver, the victim ran into the street and struck the side of his vehicle.
The driver stopped and called 9-1-1. The victim was transported first to Ben Taub General Hospital and then transferred to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where yesterday (Oct. 16) he was pronounced dead.
There are no charges in this incident, as the investigation is continuing.
