Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 1501 Big Bend Drive
November 29, 2018 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a juvenile male at 1501 Big Bend Drive about 6:20 p.m. on Wednesday (Nov. 28).
The identity of the victim, 16, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Arrington and L. Patterson reported:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at the above address and were advised the victim was shot and transported in a friend's vehicle to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Witnesses stated there was a large group of males and females engaged in an argument that escalated into a physical altercation among the females. At some point, an unknown suspect pulled a gun, shot the victim and then fled on foot.
