Investigation into Fire Death at 7700 Creekbend

Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a male that occurred at 7700 Creekbend #136 at 9:15 p.m. on Friday (November 2).
The identity of the male victim, 74, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Duncan and Detectives S. Jimenez and R. Watson reported:
Officers responded to a house fire at the above address where the victim, who had suffered severe burns in a residential fire at the above address, was pronounced dead. A second male was able to escape the residence and was transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor burns.
The investigation is pending verification of the victim's cause of death by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
