Investigation into Male's Death at 8527 Black Tern

Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a man that occurred at 8527 Black Tern Lane about 1:25 a.m. on Sunday (November 4).
The victim, Benjamin Ponce, 37, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Officer T. Jackson reported:
Mr. Ponce's wife found him unresponsive at the front entryway of their residence at the above address. Both his wife and responding Houston Fire Department paramedics unsuccessfully attempted cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Ponce showed signs of injuries that may have occurred during an assault, however his cause of death is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The investigation is continuing.
