Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and wounding of another at 11980 Overbrook about 11:05 a.m. on Tuesday (May 29).

The deceased victim is identified as Christian Chapman, 24.  The wounded victim, Omar B. Ahmed, 24, was transported to an area hospital in critical, but stable condition.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers J. Nguyen and W. Huff reported:

Officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex at the above address and found Mr. Chapman unresponsive and lying outside an apartment.  Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.  Officers were advised a second shooting victim (Mr. Ahmed) had been taken in a private vehicle to an area hospital.

At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s) in the case.
