Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 3950 Victory Drive
Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the fatal shooting of a man at 3950 Victory Drive about 2:35 a.m. today (May 9).
The identity of the man, 29, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Horn and Detective E. Aguilera reported:
Officers arrived at a residence at the above address and observed a male with a gunshot wound to the head and a gun near his body in front of the home. Paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
Prior to the shooting, the male was reportedly involved in a physical altercation in which he injured his fiancé. A witness stated the male then shot himself after the altercation.
An autopsy will be performed by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences to determine the manner of death.
