Investigation into Shooting of Four Men at 6302 Martin Luther King Boulevard
June 11, 2018 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of four men at 6302 Martin Luther King Boulevard about 12:30 a.m. on Saturday (June 9).
The victims, Curtis Powell, 20, Brandon Miller, 23, Cherokee Taylor, 23 and Alex Smith, 44, sustained non-life-threatening wounds. Three of them were transported to area hospitals in stable condition and the fourth was treated and released at the scene.
HPD Major Assaults Unit Officers R. Naughton and V. Habukiha reported:
The victims were standing in the parking lot of a gas station at the above address when an unknown suspect(s) in a white SUV (possibly a Jeep) drove by and fired shots at the group. All four men were struck and the suspect vehicle fled the scene.
