Investigation into Hit-and-Run Crash at 1700 Montrose
July 16, 2018 - Houston police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that occurred at 1700 Montrose about 4:40 a.m. on Saturday (July 14).
The male victim, a pedestrian, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Lopez and Officer D. Ashford reported:
According to a witness, the driver of an unknown silver pickup truck, traveling northbound on Montrose and driving erratically, struck the victim as he was walking on Montrose. The driver of the pickup truck fled the scene without stopping to render aid.
