Investigation into Remains Found at 5000 Neches
July 31, 2018 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results on remains found at 5000 Neches about 10 a.m. today (July 31).
The identity of the remains are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Holbrook and Detective J. Roscoe reported:
Workers preparing to clear foliage from the freeway overpass at the interchange of the 610 North Loop (North Interstate Highway 610) at the Eastex Freeway (North U.S. Highway 59) located skeletal human remains at the above address. The remains were recovered and transported to the medical examiner's office.
Preliminary information indicates the remains may be that of an elderly male.
Anyone with information in this case or on the identity of the deceased person is asked to the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
