Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 731 Fawn Drive
January 2, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 731 Fawn Drive about 5 a.m. on Monday (Jan. 1).
The victim, Phillip R. Mejias, 36, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant S. Murdock and Officer H. Hay reported:
Mr. Mejias and his younger brother got into an argument that turned physical. Following the confrontation, Mejias followed the younger brother home and attempted to enter the brother's residence. At that time, the younger brother shot Mejias multiple times as he (Mejias) was breaking into the back door of the home.
The younger brother was questioned by investigators and released without charges at this time.
