Investigation into Fatal Crash at 18414 Gulf Freeway
Feburary 19, 2018 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 18414 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) about 2:30 a.m. on Saturday (February 17).
The identity of the male victim, 46, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer M. Nicotra reported:
The victim was operating a Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle southbound on the Gulf Freeway, failed to control his speed and struck a gold Chevrolet HHR sport utility vehicle. The victim died at the scene. The female driver of the Chevrolet, who remained at the scene, was determined not to be intoxicated and was questioned and released.
