Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 9598 Rowlette
Feburary 19, 2018 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 9598 Rowlette about 10:15 p.m. on Sunday (Feb. 18).
The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Horn and Detective S. Overstreet reported:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting call in a business parking lot at the above address and observed HFD paramedics providing aid to a man who had been shot multiple times. The victim was transported to Clear Lake Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
After viewing surveillance video and interviewing witnesses, investigators learned two suspects met with the victim and his friend inside the victim's vehicle in the parking lot. Shortly after the suspects got into the victim's vehicle, the victim was shot several times. His friend managed to get out of the vehicle and run to safety. The suspects got into another vehicle and fled the scene.
