Investigation into Fatal Crash at 1000 Leeland
Feburary 5, 2018 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 1000 Leeland about 12:15 p.m. last Friday (Feb. 2).
The identity of the male victim, 44, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. Fendia and Officer M. Hill reported:
The victim, a pedestrian, was crossing the street - not at a crosswalk - at the above address when he was struck by a gold Chrysler Town and Country minivan. Paramedics transported the victim to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver was questioned by officers and then released.
