Investigation into Shooting at 7500 Bellaire Boulevard
Feburary 2, 2018 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man that occurred at 7500 Bellaire Boulevard about 6:25 p.m. on Thursday (February 1).
The wounded male was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults Unit Detectives M. Arrington and E. May reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to the PlazAmericas shopping mall at the above address regarding a shooting. Officers determined two males got into a physical altercation inside the mall and, at some point, one of the men went to his vehicle to get a firearm. The suspect is believed to have fired the weapon in the parking lot. As the suspect drove through the parking lot, a security guard determined he was a threat to others in the area and fired his weapon. The suspect was struck and transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to the hospital.
No charges have been filed at this time. The investigation is continuing.
