Investigation into Fatal Crash at 1500 Telephone Road
Feburary 1, 2018 -Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 1500 Telephone Road about 8:50 p.m. on Wednesday (January 31).
The identity of the male victim, 53, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. Fendia and Officer A. Holmes reported:
The driver of a white Chevrolet Suburban was traveling southbound on Telephone Road when the victim crossed the street, not at a cross walk, and was struck by the Suburban. The victim was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The female driver of the Suburban remained at the scene and was determined not to be intoxicated.
A preliminary investigation determined the victim was at-fault in the crash.
