Suspect Arrested, Charged in Shooting at 392 East Rittenhouse
December 26, 2018 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the shooting of a woman at 392 East Rittenhouse about 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday (December 25).
The suspect, Hector Chavez (H/m, 38), is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 177th State District Court. He is accused in the shooting of his girlfriend, Juana Saenz, 32, who was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Officers V. Habukiha and R. Haughton reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found Ms. Saenz had been shot once in the abdomen. She was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to the hospital. Further investigation determined Chavez shot Saenz in the presence of their male child, 7, who was not injured. Chavez was taken into custody at the scene and subsequently charged.
