Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 8625 Winkler
April 3, 2018 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the shooting death of a male at 8625 Winkler about 7:20 p.m. on Monday (April 2).
The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives I. Ulloa and E. Wohlgemuth reported:
The victim was visiting a friend at the above address when he suffered an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The friend immediately called 911 and requested paramedics. Upon arrival, Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital.
