Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 6910 Avenue T
September 5, 2017 - The fatal shooting of a male at 6910 Avenue T that occurred about 2:20 a.m. on August 26 will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Investigators B. Roberts and E. Aguilera reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found the male suspect inside the residence suffering from a gunshot wound. According to the homeowner and witnesses, the male suspect attempted to forcibly enter the home and was shot by one of the residents. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene. A second unknown suspect fled the scene on foot.
Officers questioned and released both the resident and witnesses.
