Investigation into Assault at 11122 Almeda Road
September 5, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a male that occurred at 11122 Almeda Road about 1:50 a.m. on August 26.
The victim, Anthony Harris, 24, was transported to an area hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.
HPD Major Assaults Unit Officers J. Hasley and R. Watson reported:
Mr. Harris was driving a red Pontiac Grand Prix in the vicinity of Scott and Reed Road when an unknown black male suspect, driving a newer-model, white Lincoln sedan pulled up next to him at a stop light. The suspect aimed a pistol at Harris and began firing. Harris attempted to drive away from the suspect, but the suspect followed him, firing multiple shots into his vehicle. Harris was struck multiple times in the right arm and back. He then crashed his vehicle and the suspect fled in an unknown direction. Harris was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
