Investigation into Fatal Crash at 12500 Briar Forest
October 26, 2017 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 12500 Briar Forest Drive about 11:20 a.m. on Wednesday (Oct. 25).
The identity of the female victim, 82, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Arnold and Officer L. Ho reported:
The male driver of a white Ford van exited a business parking lot and turned westbound onto Briar Forest when the van struck the victim, a pedestrian. The pedestrian, who failed to yield the right of way, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where she was later pronounced deceased. The driver of the van was questioned and released without charges.
The investigation is continuing.
