Investigation into Shooting Incident at 3300 Sampson
October 24, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 3300 Sampson about 3:05 p.m. on Monday (Oct. 23).
The victim, Lionel Cox, 18, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
HPD Homicide Division Officers D. Nabors and D. Williamson reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call in the 3400 block of Tuam. Upon arrival, they found Mr. Cox was at the nearby intersection of Sampson and Francis Streets when he was shot by the occupant(s) of a gray four-door vehicle driving by.
A witness then drove Cox to another location where he was transferred to an ambulance that then took him to the hospital.
