Investigation into Fatal Crash at 10300 Tanner Road
October 23, 2017 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 10300 Tanner Road about 11:05 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 21).
The male victim, 26, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Klementich and Officer A. Mares reported:
The victim was walking eastbound on Tanner Road along the curb when he was struck by an unknown vehicle also traveling eastbound. The driver of the unknown vehicle, possibly a Ford pickup truck, failed to pass safely and struck the victim. The vehicle’s driver then fled the scene.
