Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 8500 Reims
October 19, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8500 Reims about 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday (Oct. 18).
The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Simmons and Officer M. Arroyo reported:
Officers were dispatched to a crash at a residence at 7402 Darnell and observed a vehicle had struck the home. Officers found the driver with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses reported hearing a gunshot prior to the crash and investigators determined the shooting happened in the 8500 block of Reims.
At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s) in the shooting.
