Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 2061 Antoine
October 19, 2017 - The fatal shooting of a man at 2061 Antoine about 11:55 p.m. on Wednesday (October 18) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The male shooter was not injured in the incident.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Daignault and Detective E. Aguilera reported:
A male suspect walked into a nightclub at the above address and threatened the security guard and customers with a walking cane. The customers ran in different directions to avoid being struck by the cane. The suspect then walked over to where several customers were sitting and began swinging the cane. A struggle ensued and the suspect bit one of the customers, causing serious injury. Fearing for customers' safety, a security guard ran over to where the suspect was biting the customer and shot the suspect, who died at the scene.
The investigation is continuing.
