Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 8501 Broadway
October 16, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8501 Broadway about 8:15 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 14).
The identity of the male victim, believed to be in his 20s, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives D. Crowder and M. Arrington reported:
The victim was apparently involved in an altercation at the corner of Broadway and Rockhill. When he began to run from the suspect(s), he was shot multiple times. Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. Several witnesses fled the scene before officers arrived.
Investigators are asking anyone with information in this case to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
