Investigation into Deaths at 6645 Granite
November 27, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the death of a woman following a house fire at 6645 Granite at 3:25 a.m. on Sunday (November 26).
The identity of the female victim, 77, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Horn and Detective T. Jackson reported:
Houston Fire Department personnel responded to a house fire at the above address and located a severely burned man outside the house. He was transported him to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition. The male's mother (victim) was found deceased inside the house from apparent fire injuries.
HFD Arson investigators responded to scene and found no traces of accelerant or intentional causes to the fire.
The investigation is continuing.
