Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Crash at 9900 Fulton
November 15, 2017 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in a fatal crash at 9900 Fulton about 11:55 p.m. on Tuesday (Nov. 14).
The suspect, Daniel Martinez (H/m, 27), is charged with driving while intoxicated in Harris County Criminal Court #16. A photo of Martinez is attached to this news release.
The identity of the deceased male victim, 17, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. Fendia and Officer M. Rios reported:
Martinez was driving a black Dodge Dakota pickup truck westbound on Dipping Lane when he failed to yield the right of way leaving a stop sign and was struck by a black Chevrolet Monte Carlo traveling southbound on Fulton. The driver (and lone occupant) of the Monte Carlo was pronounced dead at the scene. Martinez was determined to be intoxicated and was taken into custody.
