Investigation into Fatal Crash at 4900 Old Spanish Trail
November 6, 2017 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 4900 Old Spanish Trail about 10:05 p.m. last Friday (Nov. 3).
The identity of the female victim, 50, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Salazar and Officer B. Roberts reported:
The victim, a pedestrian, was walking in the middle of the street when she was struck by a black Chevrolet Suburban, whose driver stopped and called 911. Paramedics pronounced the woman dead at the scene. The driver consented to a mandatory blood draw. He did not show signs of intoxication and was questioned and released pending further investigation. The pedestrian was at-fault in the crash.
