Investigation into Fatal Crash at 3700 South Dairy Ashford

May 31, 2017 - HOUSTON - A man critically injured in a crash at 3700 South Dairy Ashford Road about 8:30 p.m. on December 16, 2016, has died.

The victim, Dilawar Virani, 72, was pronounced dead on Tuesday (May 30) at Kindred Hospital - Houston.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Ogden and Officer K. Vu reported:

Mr. Virani was driving a gold Toyota Corolla southbound on South Dairy Ashford when he failed to yield the right of way while turning left and was struck by a gray Chevrolet Tahoe traveling northbound on South Dairy Ashford.  Virani was taken to the hospital where he was undergoing treatment until doctors pronounced him deceased on Tuesday.
