Investigation into Fatal Crash at 1500 East Loop North

May 30, 2017 - HOUSTON - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 1500 East Loop North (East Interstate Highway 610 North) about 11:45 p.m. on Sunday (May 28).

The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Roque and Officer K. Hines reported: 

Witnesses stated the male operator of a black Honda CBR motorcycle lost control and struck a concrete barrier as he was traveling northbound on the East Loop, just south of the Ship Channel Bridge.  Paramedics pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene.  No other vehicles or persons were involved in the crash.

The investigation is continuing.
