Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 4615 North Shepherd
March 27, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 4615 North Shepherd at about 4:40 a.m. on Sunday (March 26).
The victim, Preston M. Bookman, 52, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Rodriguez and Senior Police Officer M. Condon reported:
Mr. Bookman was sitting in the parking lot with a friend at the above address when he was shot. The suspect(s) were seen driving in a gold or tan four-door sedan southbound on North Shepherd. When the vehicle turned westbound onto Curtin Street, shots were fired from inside the vehicle and Bookman was struck by the gunfire. HFD paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced Bookman deceased.
