Investigation into Fatal Crash at 4100 Gulf Freeway
March 20, 2017 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 4100 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) service road about 4:50 a.m. on Sunday (March 19).
The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Harris and Officer T. Fowls reported:
The victim was driving a gray Ford F-150 pickup truck southbound at the above address while a second driver in a gray Infiniti G37 was traveling eastbound on Cullen Boulevard. The vehicles collided in the intersection, ejecting the driver of the F-150 truck. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. The driver of the Infiniti was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital and was to provide a blood draw.
The investigation is continuing.
