Investigation into Fatal Crash at 11300 Beechnut
March 20, 2017 - Houston police are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash that occurred at 11300 Beechnut at about 6:10 a.m. today (March 20).
The identity of the female victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Harris and Officer J. Gaona reported:
The victim crossed Beechnut, not at a crosswalk, and attempted to flag down a Metro bus when she was struck by a white Toyota Tacoma. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Toyota, who remained at the scene, was determined not to be impaired and was questioned and released.
No charges are expected to be filed in the incident.
