Investigation into Fatal Crash at 2901 West Fuqua
March 2, 2017 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 2901 West Fuqua about 3 p.m. on Tuesday (February 28).
The male victim, 56, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead on Wednesday (March 1). His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Officer M. Ramos reported:
The victim was operating a green SanYang motorcycle northbound on Almeda Genoa and ran the red light at the intersection of West Fuqua. The motorcycle then struck a red Ford F-150 pickup truck traveling westbound on Fuqua and turning southbound onto Almeda Genoa. The victim was transported by HFD paramedics to the hospital. The driver of the Ford remained at the scene, was questioned and released.
The investigation is continuing.
