Update: Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 6325 North Wayside
June 7, 2017 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 6325 North Wayside about 10:30 p.m. on May 30.
The suspect, Zkeus Carrington (b/m, 27), is charged with murder in the 209th State District Court. A photo of Carrington is attached to this news release.
The victim, Lee Roy Prince, 47, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Holbrook and Senior Police Officer J. Roscoe reported:
A relative of Mr. Prince came to his residence to check on him and found him lying on the floor deceased. He had been shot multiple times.
Further investigation led to the identification of Carrington as a suspect in this case and on Tuesday (June 6) he was arrested without incident.
