Investigation into Fatal Crash at 13350 Almeda

June 5, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 13350 Almeda at 1:35 p.m. on Saturday (June 3).

The identity of the male victim, 70, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer S. Coke reported:

The victim was driving a green Ford Crown Victoria when he stopped at a Shell Station at the above address and attempted to park.  The victim failed to place the vehicle in park and instead left it in reverse.  As he exited his vehicle,it reversed, striking the victim twice.  The victim was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
