July 13, 2017 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 2101 Parker Road about 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday (July 12).

The identity of the deceased male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Officer P. Pham reported:

The victim was operating a green Kawasaki motorcycle at a high rate of speed traveling northbound on Aldine Westfield.  Witnesses said the motorcyclist then ran the red light at the Parker Road intersection and struck a black Chevrolet Impala traveling southbound on Aldine Westfield and turning onto Parker Road.  

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.  One passenger in the Impala, a female, 8, was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
