Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 7700 Almeda Genoa Road

January 30, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male at 7700 Almeda Genoa Road about 12:50 a.m. on Saturday (January 28).  

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Dominguez and Officer B. Roberts reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the Taqueria El Alazan food truck at the above address and found a male had been shot.  HFD paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.  
According to witnesses, two male suspects robbed the food truck at gunpoint and, as the victim tried to stop the robbery, he was shot.  

The suspects are described only as black males in their mid 20s.
