Investigation into Man Found Fatally Shot at 9560 Deering

January 24, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 9560 Deering about 5 a.m. on Tuesday (January 24). 

The victim, Denard Dixon, 30, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Holbrook and A. Semmelrock reported:  

A passerby noticed the body of an unresponsive male (Mr. Dixon) lying on the side of the road near the above address and attempted to provide medical assistance.  HFD paramedics were called to the scene and pronounced Dixon deceased.

According to witnesses, Dixon visited the apartment complex frequently.  Investigators believe Dixon may have been arguing with other males in the complex earlier in the evening.
