Investigation into Male's Death at 400 Schweikhardt

January 9, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the death of a male at 400 Schweikhardt about 5:50 a.m. on Saturday (Jan. 7).

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Chebret and Senior Police Officer M. Waters reported:

The victim was struck by a train at the above address.  He appears to be homeless, had no identification, and his identity is not known.  However, a passerby reported his name may be "Joe" and he was from Louisiana.
