Investigation into Female Found Deceased at 6300 Sherwood Drive

January 3, 2017 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a female found at 6300 Sherwood Drive about 2:55 p.m. on Saturday (December 31).  

The identity and cause of death of the female are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  
HPD Homicide Division Officers T. Fay and R. Moss reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a request for police assistance by HFD paramedics regarding a deceased female found behind a residence at the above address.  Officers arrived and found the female's body in an advanced state of decomposition.  She appeared to have suffered a gunshot wound.
