Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 5000 Van Fleet

February 23, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman and the wounding of a male at 5000 Van Fleet about 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday (February 22).  

The woman, Amber Flores, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene.  The male victim was transported to an area hospital in an unknown condition.  

HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. Hogue and T. Miller reported:  

Ms. Flores was a passenger in a vehicle at the above address when she was fatally shot by an unknown suspect(s).  The driver of the vehicle was also wounded in the shooting and was transported by HFD paramedics to the hospital.  

At this time, there is no known motive.
