Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 10427 Newpark Drive

February 3, 2017 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 10427 Newpark Drive about 4:10 p.m. on Thursday (February 2).

The suspect, Tu Thien Huynh (A/f, 29), is charged with murder in the 179th State District Court.  A photo of suspect Huynh is attached to this news release.  

The identity of the male vitctim is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Officers T. Fay and M. Dykens reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a suicide call at a residence at the above address and found the wife (suspect Huynh) of the deceased victim. After speaking with Huynh, officers found suspicious evidence at the scene and contacted HPD homicide investigators.  

Further investigation and evidence from the scene determined Huynh shot her husband.  She was taken into custody and subsequently charged.
