Investigation into Shooting of Man Found at 5000 North Freeway
December 20, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man found at 5000 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) service road about 12:20 p.m. on Tuesday (Dec. 19).
The victim, Abel Ramos, 31, was transported to an area hospital, where doctors stated he is expected to survive his injuries.
HPD Major Assaults Unit Officer C. Castellani reported:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at the above address and found Mr. Ramos inside a red pickup truck. He had been shot at least one time. Paramedics transported Ramos to an area hospital.
At this time, there is no known suspect or motive in the shooting.
